The Texas Oil and Gas Association published its July 2026 Month in Review on Aug. 3, a roundup the association said shows how TXOGA continued advocating for the Texas oil and natural gas industry over the past month.
The monthly publication compiles the association’s recent activity and recommended reading for members and the public. Highlights flagged alongside the July edition include a report that Texas oil and gas exploration and production jobs rose for a third straight month, coverage of the end of the dunes sagebrush lizard’s federal endangered status amid a lawsuit by Attorney General Ken Paxton, and the Railroad Commission of Texas concluding what the agency called a record-breaking 2026 Regulatory Conference, according to the association’s newsroom.
Other items featured with the review touch on corporate relocations to Texas, projections that liquefied natural gas will become the second-largest net export industry in the United States within five years, and energy companies joining the so-called DExit movement of redomiciling in Texas, the association noted.
