Texas Tech and Texas A&M chancellors to co-headline 2026 Texas Policy Summit keynote

The Texas Public Policy Foundation announced on March 26 that Texas Tech University Chancellor Brandon Creighton and Texas A&M University Chancellor Glenn Hegar will co-headline a special keynote conversation during the Thursday, April 9 breakfast session of the 2026 Texas Policy Summit.

According to the announcement, both chancellors bring extensive conservative leadership experience to their respective university systems. The foundation said, “During his time in the Texas Senate, Chancellor Creighton was the architect of historic reforms to eliminate DEI bureaucracies and restore merit and viewpoint diversity to our campuses. Meanwhile, Chancellor Hegar was renowned for his fiscal discipline as the State’s Comptroller. Together, they are leading the charge to ensure our universities remain engines of innovation rather than outposts for radical indoctrination.”

The event is scheduled for April 9 at the AT&T Conference Center located at 1900 University Ave., Austin, TX 78705. Additional information about the summit and its agenda is available at TexasPolicySummit.com.
