Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site will host its 32nd Annual Community Fair on Oct. 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to an Oct. 7 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department news release.
The release described the event as a family-friendly weekend celebrating the natural and cultural heritage of Hueco Tanks. Visitors can expect educational exhibits, hands-on activities, local food vendors, community partners, guided rock climbing, and pictograph and hiking tours exploring the site’s landscapes and stories, TPWD said.
For 32 years, the agency said, the Community Fair has brought together the El Paso community and visitors from across the region to experience the history, culture and natural beauty of the site while honoring the past, celebrating the present and inspiring the future.
The fair is free to attend, and the release said no day use reservations or entry fees are required and there are no capacity limits. All are invited to join the celebration of community, conservation and the outdoors, according to TPWD.
For more information, the agency directed the public to the Hueco Tanks page of the Texas State Parks events calendar, the park’s phone line at (915) 857-1135, or the park’s Facebook and Instagram accounts for event updates.
