The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking public comment on the draft Texas Social Services Block Grant Title XX Intended Use Report, the agency said in an Aug. 19 notice.
The document lays out how the Texas Legislature and Gov. Greg Abbott have appropriated Title XX Social Services Block Grant funding to state agencies to meet specified social needs for defined low-income and at-risk populations, according to the notice.
HHSC administers the block grant on behalf of Texas and coordinates the delivery of appropriated funds from the federal government to various state agencies, the agency said.
Comments may be emailed to the HHSC Federal Funds Office by Aug. 26, 2026, according to the notice — a one-week window for Texans, providers and organizations that work with block grant-funded services to weigh in before the report is finalized.
